I'm AJ Fernandez, an SEO and AI search specialist based in Winthrop, just outside Boston, MA. I run AJ SEO Guy, where I help businesses get found on Google and get recommended by AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google's AI Overviews.

I started AJ SEO Guy after moving to Boston from Miami. Before that, I spent my time inside an SEO agency, and it showed me the good and the bad of how this industry works. The good was the range: I worked across dozens of businesses, learned how each one made money, built and fixed websites myself, and saw how much design and user experience affect rankings and revenue. The bad was everything that slowed the work down. Handoffs between three people before a page could change. Fixed hours that ran out before the momentum built. Clients paying $4,000 to $5,000 a month and seeing a few blog posts by month five.

I wanted to keep the good and drop the rest. So I work directly with every client, with no handoffs and no account managers in the middle. The person who researches your market is the same person who writes your pages, builds your schema, and reports on your results.
